How To Use
Directions for Use:
Infants: Cow and Gate Instant Carobel may be added to an infant’s milk or drink (water/juice), or given by spoon as a thick gel just prior to drinking, or eating a very wet meal.
Adults:
Instant Carobel may be added to fluids and wet foods or can be eaten as a paste or prior to drinking.
In A Bottlefeed:
Prepare the infant milk to the manufacturer’s guidelines. Add Cow and Gate Instant Carobel 135g as indicated in the feeding guide. Shake well (for 30-60 secs). Leave for 3-4 minutes to thicken. Shake again and feed immediately. Do not heat in a microwave. Hot spots may occur and cause scalding.
As A Spoonfeed or Paste:
This method is appropriate for breastfed infants and may be preferred method for bottle fed infants.
It is also suitable for first weaning foods that have too liquid consistency and for older children and adults. Add Instant Carobel 135g as indicated in the feeding guide. Stir well and leave for 3-4 minutes to thicken. Stir again and feed immediately, by spoon, prior to and during the feed or meal.

Cow and Gate Instant Carobel is only to be used under medical supervision.
All instructions for preparation and use should be followed carefully.
Instant Carobel is not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Discard unfinished thickened feeds or unused made up gel immediately.
When feeding a thickened bottle-feed, the teat may require a large hole than normal or a variable flow (split) teat may be used. Infants should be supervised at all times when feeding. Always use the scoop provided.
