WHAT NUROFEN JOINT & MUSCULAR PAIN RELIEF 200MG MEDICATED PLASTER IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?
Nurofen Joint And Muscular Pain Relief Medicated Plaster, the active substance is ibuprofen. Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), which work by changing how the body responds to pain, swelling, and high temperature.
The medicated plaster locally delivers ibuprofen continuously at the site of pain over the 24 hours of application.
Nurofen Medicated Plaster for Joint & Muscular Pain Relief is indicated for the short-term symptomatic treatment of local pain in acute muscular strains, or sprains in benign traumas close to the joint of the upper or lower limb in adults or adolescents aged 16 years and older
Nurofen pain relief 200mg medicated plasters are for the short-term relief of aches, pains, sprains, and fever. These plasters are easy to attach onto your skin and get to work instantly, continually releasing pain relief at the site of the injury or inflammation.
With results lasting up to 24 hours, these pain-relieving plasters contain the active ingredient ibuprofen which belongs to a class of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. These easy-to-use plasters work in a similar way to a local anaesthetic and are perfect for those who don’t like swallowing tablets.

Do not use if you: have (or have had two or more episodes of) a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding, are allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredient of the product, aspirin or other related painkillers, are taking other NSAIDS painkillers, or aspirin with a daily dose above 75mg
Speak to a pharmacist or your doctor before taking if you: have or have had asthma, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, a stroke, heart, liver, kidney or bowel problem, are a smoker, are pregnant
Do not store above 25°c

Active ingredients: Each medicated plaster contains 200 mg of Ibuprofen
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. STOP USING this medicine and contact a doctor immediately if you develop: • signs of an allergic reaction such as asthma, unexplained wheezing or shortness of breath, itching, runny nose, or skin rashes. • signs of hypersensitivity and skin reactions such as redness, swelling, peeling, blistering, flaking or ulceration of skin. TELL YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST IF YOU NOTICE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING EFFECTS OR ANY EFFECTS NOT LISTED: Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data) • skin reactions such as redness, burning, itching, soreness or weeping • asthma, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath; • stomach pain or other stomach problems • kidney problems • skin becomes sensitive to light Reporting of side effects If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.
