Audmonal 60mg Capsules – Alverine Citrate, 100 Capsules

If you’re one of the millions of people who suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), you know how debilitating and frustrating the condition can be. The good news is that there are treatments available that can provide relief. Audmonal 60mg Capsules contain a medicine called alverine citrate, which belongs to a group of medicines called anti-spasmodics. Alverine citrate relaxes the muscles in the intestine (gut) and uterus (womb), which helps to stop the pain you feel when the muscles become tense. This can make a big difference in your quality of life, allowing you to enjoy activities that you may have been avoiding due to your IBS. Audmonal 60mg Capsules are easy to take and well tolerated, so don’t suffer any longer – talk to your doctor about whether Audmonal could be right for you.

    Alverine citrate is used:

    • to help people who have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Some of the symptoms of IBS are:
      • abdominal pains like cramp which come and go
      • diarrhoea
      • constipation
      • feeling full and bloated
      • wanting to go to the toilet urgently.

Sometimes these symptoms are worse if you are worried or under stress.

Audmonal 60mg Capsules (Alverine citrate) is also used for a condition of the large intestine called the painful diverticular disease of the colon.

It is also used to relieve period pains.

What is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is often just called ‘IBS’. Although the precise cause is unknown, the muscles of the bowel appear to be very sensitive to things like:

    • Stress, eating and drinking habits
    • Food allergies or intolerances
    • Stimulants such as coffee
    • Hormonal factors
    • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common condition that affects the digestive system.
      • It’s usually a lifelong problem. It can be very frustrating to live with and can have a big impact on your everyday life.
      • There’s no cure, but diet changes and medicines can often help control the symptoms.
      • The exact cause is unknown – it’s been linked to things like food passing through your gut too quickly or too slowly, oversensitive nerves in your gut, stress and a family history of IBS.

Such things can trigger painful abdominal cramps or spasms if you have a sensitive bowel. You may also feel bloated, with excess wind and abdominal discomfort. Sometimes IBS can include diarrhoea or constipation.
